A specialist UK training provider for the people who keep live television and streaming productions on air.
Our story
bylinevoxi was founded by a team of working broadcast directors and vision engineers who kept hearing the same complaint from studios across the UK: newcomers understood cameras, but nobody could switch, shade or call a live show under pressure.
We built our programme around one idea — the control room is a practical skill, learned by doing it repeatedly on real equipment, not by watching slides. Every trainee who joins us spends the majority of their course hours inside a gallery, at a desk, on a live cue.
Today we train camera operators, vision switchers, directors and streaming technical directors for broadcasters, outside broadcast companies and streaming production houses across the United Kingdom.
What we stand for
Studio-first training
Every module is taught inside a working television studio and gallery, not a lecture theatre. Trainees switch, shade and call real running orders from day one.
Small, focused cohorts
Class sizes are capped so every trainee gets real desk time. You will operate the vision mixer far more often than you will watch someone else operate it.
Industry-standard kit
We train on the same vision mixers, audio desks and streaming encoders used across UK broadcasters and outside broadcast trucks.
Careers, not certificates
Our graduate network helps place switchers, camera operators and directors into broadcasters, streaming platforms and events companies across the UK.
Our facility
Our training centre houses a full studio floor, a glass-fronted control gallery, and a dedicated streaming suite, so trainees can move between camera, desk and encoder in a single session.
Every seat in the gallery — director, vision mixer, technical director and production assistant — is wired exactly as it would be on a genuine outside broadcast.
